Surgical care: A Right to Health?
“Approximately 5 billion people have no access to basic surgical care” writes A. Z. M. Arman Habib. He argues that surgeries can reduce child mortality and improve maternal health by treating obstetrical complications, and suggests access to essential surgical care should be considered as a basic human right to health in Bangladesh.
